We visited the Documentation Center in Nuremberg. I hope they build one in Florida when Trump is finally gone. The centers in Germany are dedicated to the ongoing education of the public, so they can understand how their country ended up vilifying certain citizens and either imprisoning them or killing them. How did their country start an impossible war dedicated to world domination? How did a group of thugs from the south manage to scare the whole country into submission? Why did they let these incompetent, greedy, self-interested sociopaths wreck their economy? It is an honest and sobering account.

It sounded so much like our last twelve years I was shocked all over again. The image that stuck with me the most was Hitler’s picture on his famous book. It looked so much like Donald Trump’s official portrait hanging as a banner off the Dept. of Education, I shuddered.

I know people have scoffed at the comparison. But if you went through the Documentaion Center, I think you’d believe we’ve been living through the application of a playbook.
